This track its split in two parts, one represents a whole process of self-recognition and a second part, freedom.
The first part tries to represent an urban area, place that can be stifling, in the second part this feeling is released and letting the listener flow to the end of the song in a continual crescendo.
Music video shot with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k (BMPCC 6k).
Lenses, Pentax K 50mm f1.4 and a Tokina 11-16 f2.8.
Shot in 6k using BRAW with 12:1 ratio. Slow motion shots at 50 fps. I couldn't use 60fps since our electrical current runs at 50Hz, 60fps would bring a lot of flickering. Post done in Davinci Resolve 16. This video is set in Dublin - Ireland. It was shot on the night of the 24th of August the day that "One Stop After Midnight" was originaly released.
This was my first music video using the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. I used two lenses, my old Pentax K 50mm f1.4 that I've been carrying for a while and the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 only for a couple of shots, (the one where Pius slides on the bus stairs and when he does a move in the middle of the road...)
I recorded using BRAW 12:1 to a Samsung t5 (500gb), during the shoot I never had a drop-frame, everything went smooth. It was also my first time using this camera.
I bought a BMPCC 4k with the 0.64x Metabones adapter just two weeks prior to the new 6K came out.
I decided to get a refund and swap it to the 6k. I don't know yet if it was a good option. But I think the long term I won't regret it.
I love the final result, unfortunately as we all know, YouTube compresses the $hit out of our videos. But the image quality is just superb. I took some notes to try to improve for the next video.
